About

"Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything."

Born in Southbridge Massachusetts, music wasn't a constant for me until I was in high school. I was never surrounded by music nor was I playing professionally at age 10 like some of my heroes, but as a kid, I loved the drums and I loved listening to music. I spent the first 12 years of my life as a listener, listening to whatever music my parents were playing or whatever was on my iPod at the time. I started listening to bands like the Dave Matthews Band whenever my father or my cousins played them. From there I would hear Michael Jackson and Madonna when I'd be over at my moms and listening to 2 completely different styles really shaped me as a drummer. I idolized drummers like Carter Beauford(DMB) and JR Robinson(Michael Jackson) when I first picked up the sticks because they were some of the first drummers I paid real attention to. I started lessons in the 7th grade and from there, it was constant doors opening for me with my playing. I played in the jazz band in high school and played for my schools choir and got good experience playing pop, rock, and jazz in front of many people too so that experience really aided my performance side. Getting into Berklee was one of my first real accomplishments and it was going to be a 4 year experience that would change me as a drummer and as a musician, that I desperately needed. Being introduced to new music left and right, discovering new drummers, and meeting new people from all over the world are really the things that have changed my playing the most and changed me as a musician. Now that I'm here, I'm dedicating my time to mostly playing and practicing and I am always willing to meet up with new people and have a conversation about music, life, drums, or whatever.

I am currently studying Performance at Berklee and my expected graduation year is 2021. I have been in Boston for 2 years straight now and I am currently looking to move to New York after I leave Berklee. My goal is to be on the road, playing for an artist as well as producing some of their music with them and helping write some of their drum tracks. I want to be a producer in the near future and I've always loved making beats and having people write other stuff over them, so if I can do that on the side while I'm on the road, I can stay productive and I can get a head start for my later years.
